![]() ![]() Most of us spec a reamer to fit the brass used so the brass is not repeatedly worked through firing and resizing. If you are shooting a 6mmPPC, and the brass is stretching such that FL sizing is required, then the chamber was not cut with a "tight" reamer. Then you have the luxury of choosing a correct size bushing for sizing the neck to hold the bullet properly. Neck size Bushing type dies are generally intended for making a neck size die only, using the finish chamber reamer. After reaming the die, then you need to heat treat and polish. If you are building a general purpose rifle, with industry standard finishing reamer, and want to reload cases, not seeking a level of high accuracy,then you need a resize reamer. So, yea, using a bushing type die blank and reaming with the specific finish chamber reamer you used for the barrel is the way to go. Which is generally what shooting a PPC is all about. Most of us neck size when we are dealing with a tight chamber, especially if we are seeking accuracy.
